hello!

As a Product + Color Designer, I am curious and enjoy looking at everything, from packaging to furniture to fashion design. I love to touch and feel objects, travel and experience new cultures, and I'm a huge foodie.

This blog is about what inspires me and experiences from all five senses that I enjoy the most, plus some bits and insights of my design process.

la Scourtinerie

Now a 4th generation family business, la Scourtinerie in Provence, France is run by brother and sister team Arnaud and Frédérique Fert. They make woven mats and table top products for the home on traditional machines, using coconut fiber. Traditionally scourtin mats are used in olive oil pressings and wine extraction.
